INTRO
Life is a circus with a whirlwind of high-wire acts where we balance business, family, and health. Right now, my high-wire act is missing the safety net.
My name is Kimberly Carr. I am living with Osteonecrosis—death of the jawbone. It is a life-threatening condition, and I am uninsured for the dental and medical care I need. A medical benefit fundraiser with auction items is my best chance of survival.
Social isolation due to chronic illness means I need your help and network. Creating a mutually beneficial fun event for visitors and business seeking positive brand exposure could be an amazing opportunity for all. And with event success I will live to see next Christmas. (Without this help, I probably won’t.)
THE VISION
I wish to turn a desperate situation into a celebration of life with an auction fundraiser in a well-appointed event center in Corte Madera. The event includes a 30 day digital showcase with regular reveals which will help build momentum to the big day. Our theme will be a vintage circus which gives us a lot to play with to create a mutually joyful experience.
In the spirit of Givers Gain, this event is a high-visibility stage for your brand. This is a faster way to build goodwill and community exposure than any standard transaction. We are turning a tragedy into a demonstration of community power.
THE SPECIFIC ASKS
“Today, I am looking for my ‘Featured Performers’ in two ways:
- The Talent Scouts: I need referrals to businesses that offer ‘Life-Enhancement.’ Think of the services you crave: a personal chef, a home organizer, or a weekend getaway. Reach out to one business this month. Invite the owner to participate and tell me about them before January 26th.
- The Ringmasters: I am assembling a core production team within 21 days. I specifically need an Accountant, a Marketer, and an Event Planner. If you have the heart and the skill to help build this event, I’d love to hear from you.
